As part of our global vision to offer weighing services for any container arriving at a DP World terminal without a Verified Gross Mass (VGM), Vancouver recently upgraded their existing terminal yard scale to be compliant with Measurement Canada requirements.
“This is the first of many small steps towards SOLAS compliance. We will do as much as we can to ensure the smooth flow of our customer’s cargo through the Vancouver gateway. Our next step is to meet our customers to tackle some of the bigger issues around EDI data transmission and help ‘just-in-time’ shippers with solutions via process mapping”, commented Adrian Hamfeldt, DP World’s Project Manager.
